Honor has had the pleasure of being
an educator for over a decade.
However, her love of children as well
as her passions for teaching and
learning have been with her far longer.
She has truly enjoyed her experiences
teaching a wide variety of individuals
ranging from infants to adults. The
majority of her teaching took place with
the Greenwich Public Schools where
she specialized in early childhood
education and conducted staff
development workshops for
colleagues. Here she also
spearheaded and served as the
chairperson for the Community
Building Committee at Old Greenwich
School. Currently she provides private
lessons for students as well as
consulting services for classroom
teachers. As a mother and an
educator she has had the unique
opportunity to discover and
understand more deeply the
remarkably significant role that primary
caregivers play in the lives of the
children in their care. This experience
has been her inspiration in becoming a
cofounder of playful discovery. Miss
Honor is also a writer and has recently
begun working on her first parenting
book.
Mezzo-soprano, Wendy Gerbier, is the
state of Connecticut’s official National
Anthem Ambassador. She travels the
country singing the anthem and
representing the state of Connecticut.
Miss Gerbier has established herself in
what has rapidly become an
impressive and successful singing
career in the world of opera. Her
precipitous vocal growth has made her
a soloist who is eagerly sought out by
opera companies, corporations,
special events coordinators, and the
educational world.
When Wendy is not performing, she
spends her time pursuing her other
passion; teaching parents and
children. Wendy is a speech therapist,
special education teacher and certified
parent educator. She has been
working with families in the states of
New York and Connecticut for the past
10 years. She has launched parent-
child programs in educational
organizations & Resource Centers
throughout both Fairfield &
Westchester County. She enjoys
spending time with families, helping
them to get a better sense of where
their child is developmentally and
offering suggestions on how parents
can further that development.
Therefore, Wendy’s incredible voice is
a voice not to miss, not only in the
world of classical music, but in the
educational world as well.
